App, PWA or website
We weigh frequency of use, device features and the working environment to decide which format fits. A PWA installs without a store and is perfectly adequate for many internal tools.
The app on the phone is only the visible part. Behind it sit a back end, an admin screen for the office and a plan for the yearly operating system updates.

Flutter or React Native for a shared codebase, with Swift and Kotlin kept for heavy hardware use such as Bluetooth scales or continuous barcode scanning.
Jobs, checklists and photos live on the device and sync in the background. Conflict rules for two people editing the same job are agreed beforehand.
Photos carrying date, time and coordinates that cannot be quietly altered afterwards, an on-screen signature and a PDF report for your customers.
A web interface for dispatch, reporting and exports, so office staff do not have to work on a phone.
Distribution via Microsoft Intune or Apple Business Manager to company devices; on personal phones, a cleanly separated work profile with no access to private data.
Submission to Apple and Google through your accounts, crash reports that avoid unnecessary personal data, and updates for each new iOS and Android release.
We test early in real conditions, because how an app copes with cold fingers, rain or a basement never shows at a desk.
Video calls with future users: where they stand, what they are holding, how many seconds they have for an entry.
A first installable build via TestFlight or Google Play internal testing, on two or three phones in daily work.
One crew uses the app for a few weeks, and their feedback flows straight into the next builds.
Release to everyone, video training and a maintenance schedule for the operating system updates each autumn.
Expect running costs even if the app itself is not meant to change. Apple and Google tighten their rules every year, libraries receive security fixes, and an app left untouched for two years may drop out of the store altogether. Set a modest annual budget aside from the start rather than paying for an expensive rescue later.
Often, yes. A PWA runs in the browser, can sit on the home screen, works offline to a degree and needs no store. Its limits show with background tasks, Bluetooth and some push notifications on iOS. We review your needs and recommend the simpler route when it suffices.
Technically yes, with a separate work profile. On the employment side, clarify whether it is voluntary and how costs are reimbursed. For jobs involving location tracking we recommend company devices so private and work use stay apart.
It is a delicate area. Depending on the set-up a works agreement may be required, and staff must be informed. We record location only as proof of work, only during a job, and delete it after the agreed period. The legal assessment rests with your adviser.
For a modest app, usually a few working days a year for updates, testing and resubmission, charged at €110 per hour plus VAT. If new features keep coming, we agree a monthly allowance.
Your company's. We help with registration, including the D-U-N-S number Apple asks for, and work with limited roles in your accounts. The name, reviews and downloads therefore stay with you permanently.
Who will use it, where and how often? We will tell you frankly whether an app, a PWA or a mobile site is the better choice.
