Interviews and analysis
Conversations with users and with the staff who currently take the calls, plus analysis of existing data: drop-off rates, search terms, support requests.
For us, design is a work stage with outputs that developers and business teams can reuse. We combine these elements to suit each project.

We describe the key tasks step by step and arrange content so navigation follows them. Card sorting shows how users group terms on their own.
A Figma prototype that feels like the finished application, using real copy rather than placeholder text. It serves both as test material and as an unambiguous brief for development.
Moderated sessions with participants from your target group who use the prototype from home and think aloud. You can watch live; we summarise the findings with priorities.
Contrast, font sizes, focus order and understandable error messages to WCAG 2.1 AA. For online shops and services covered by the BaFG this is not optional.
Colours, typography, spacing and components with all their states, such as empty, error or loading, documented so your developers can build without coming back with questions.
We test early and in small rounds. A problem found in the prototype costs an hour to fix; in the finished product it costs weeks.
Interviews, data analysis and a workshop over video in which we agree on the two or three tasks the design absolutely must solve.
User flows and rough wireframes, with several options for critical points such as sign-up or checkout, before time goes into detail.
A clickable prototype is worked up and put through a first round of testing. We fix what surfaces and test again if needed.
Components are handed over to development, and we stay involved during the build so the finished product matches the tested prototype.
People say one thing and do another. In surveys, almost everyone claims they would rather create an account to save their details. In practice, many abandon the moment the registration form appears. We therefore make important decisions by watching people use a prototype, not by asking what they would prefer. An interview explains the why; a test reveals the what.
Ideally from your own customers, recruited through a newsletter or the customer portal. Alternatively we recruit via research panels, in which case participants receive a small fee. Consent and recording are handled in line with the GDPR.
Especially then. Staff use internal tools for hours every day, and every wasted minute adds up. Test participants for internal applications are also easy to find.
Yes. We often start with an expert review and a short test of the current product. The outcome is a list of problems ranked by impact and effort that you can work through step by step.
The design can go straight into development with us or be handed to your own team. Either way the design system is documented so it works independently of us.
Describe the product and the problem you are seeing. We will reply within one working day with a suggestion for how we would investigate it.
Your enquiry has arrived
Our reply reaches you within one working day. Outages that leave your staff unable to work are dealt with first.
We could not find that town. Try another spelling, or choose whichever provincial capital lies closest; as everything is handled remotely, you get the same service in all nine Austrian states.
